Full-Time Nursing Director

About the Role

Responsible for organizing, developing, and overseeing the Nursing Department in compliance with regulations to ensure high-quality resident care. The role includes supervising staff, managing education, infection prevention, and wound care programs, and coordinating interdisciplinary communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage nursing operations, staffing, and performance evaluations.
• Implement and supervise Infection Control and Wound Management programs.
• Assist in care plan development and ensure compliance with standards.
• Train, orient, and educate nursing staff as needed.
• Coordinate emergency response and assume unit manager duties when required.
• Communicate with residents, families, and care teams to address concerns.

Requirements

• Current NYS RN license in good standing.
• Graduate of an approved nursing school; BSN preferred or five+ years supervisory experience.
• Supervisory experience in long-term or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Wound Care Certification and SigmaCare experience are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
