Full-Time Nursing Director

About the Role

This position is for a Director of Nursing (RN) in a skilled nursing facility, responsible for overseeing the Nursing Department to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, and manage nursing operations, including staffing, education, and compliance.
• Oversee Infection Prevention, Wound Management, and ensure proper safety practices.
• Supervise, evaluate, and train nursing personnel.
• Coordinate care plans with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
• Manage emergency situations and assume charge nurse duties as needed.
• Maintain standards in nursing practice and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current NY State licensure.
• Supervisory or managerial experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related settings.
• Wound Care Certification and SigmaCare experience are advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or minimum of five years supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work under pressure.
