About the Role
Oversee the Nursing Department in a skilled nursing facility to ensure high-quality resident care in accordance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Organize, develop, and manage nursing operations.
- Oversee Education, Infection Prevention, and Wound Management programs.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing staff.
- Coordinate infection control and wound care programs.
- Assist in care plan development.
- Communicate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Handle emergency duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Current NYS RN license.
- Graduate of an approved nursing school.
- Supervisory or managerial experience in long-term or sub-acute care.
- Wound care certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate flexibility.
- Strong teamwork skills.
Additional Information
- Ability to work cohesively with residents, families, and staff.
- Experience in geriatric skilled nursing preferred.
