Full-Time Houseparent

About the Role

Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to approximately 8–13 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. They create a structured, family-like environment to promote students' academic, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor students daily
• Manage household routines and schedules
• Administer medications and ensure wellness
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational events
• Lead devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
• Oversee household budgeting and reporting

Requirements

• Experience with youth through work or volunteering
• Legally married couples for at least two years, both aged 27 or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to certify as a driver
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong integrity, professionalism, and role-modeling qualities
• Comfort leading devotions and attending Chapel (proselytizing prohibited)
• Ability to create a safe, smoke-free, and drug-free environment

Additional Details

• Support transition into a Placed Houseparent role, living and working with the same students
• Pet restrictions: fish and one approved dog breed
