Full-Time Houseparent

About the Role

We are seeking full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for groups of 8–13 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This role involves creating a family-like environment to promote students’ academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Work Structure

Initially supporting various homes with a schedule of nine days on duty followed by three days off. Transitioning into a Placed Houseparent role to live and work with a consistent group of students.

Pay

Salary of approximately $46,917 per person, with total couple compensation around $180,000, including housing, meals, utilities, and more.

Requirements

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Married couples legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus
• Comfort leading devotions and attending Judeo-Christian services (proselytizing prohibited)
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and role-modeling
