Freight Handler - Part-Time

Position Overview: Transport freight within dock areas, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods for loading and unloading. Responsibilities Include Using motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move freight.Verifying freight documentation for accuracy, including type, weight, and hazardous materials.Securing freight inside trailers with appropriate tools and supplies.Recouping or repairing damaged freight when necessary.Completing required documentation and assisting with freight documentation for customers.Performing hostling duties if required and complying with safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operations preferred.Ability to perform basic math, lift and carry freight, and open trailer doors.Strong physical ability to bend, twist, and push/pull freight throughout shifts.Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Working Conditions: Dock environment with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, and noise. Fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring frequent contact with personnel.
