Freight Handler - Part-Time

Position Overview: Transport freight within dock areas to/from trailers for loading and unloading. Key Responsibilities Handle freight using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.Verify documentation matches freight details (type, weight, hazardous materials).Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and ropes.Recoup or repair damaged freight as needed.Complete required documentation and reports accurately.Assist customers with freight and related documentation.Perform hostling duties if required.Adhere to all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operations preferred.Ability to perform basic math, lift heavy freight, and operate equipment.Good communication skills, ability to work independently or in a team.Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and bend throughout shifts. Working Conditions: Dock environment with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, and noise. Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting requiring frequent contact with personnel.
