Freight Handler - Part-Time

Role Overview: This position involves transporting freight within dock areas, utilizing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load and unload trailers. Responsibilities include verifying freight documentation, securing cargo, repairing damaged items, completing reports, and assisting with freight documentation and customer interactions. Hostling duties may be required, and adherence to safety regulations and company policies is essential. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must be at least 18 years old.Experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation preferred.Ability to perform basic math, lift and carry freight and dock plates, and operate physically demanding tasks.Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Previous dock or warehouse experience is a plus. Key Duties: Perform freight handling, verify documentation, secure cargo, repair damaged freight, complete reports, assist customers, and perform hostling if needed. Ensure compliance with laws and company policies in a fast-paced dock environment.
