Freight Agent (Immediate Hiring)

About the role

As an Independent Freight Agent, you will build and manage your own book of business within an established framework, focusing on sales and customer relationships while leveraging full back-office support.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, develop, and manage freight shipping accounts primarily across the Eastern U.S.
• Match shippers' freight with carrier capacity using the company's asset-based division and brokerage network.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships in temperature-controlled transportation.
• Negotiate rates and service agreements with shippers and carriers.
• Proactively communicate on load status, issues, and solutions.
• Operate independently while collaborating with the support team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experienced freight brokers or sales professionals with an existing book of business.
• Entrepreneurs and self-starters with an operating brokerage or fleet.
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
