About the role

As an Independent Freight Agent, you will build and manage your own book of business within an established authority, focusing on sales and customer relationships. Supported by comprehensive back-office services, you can pursue opportunities across various freight markets, especially in temperature-controlled transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, develop, and manage freight shipping accounts in the Eastern U.S.
• Match shippers' freight with carrier capacity using the company’s network and assets
• Build long-term relationships, negotiate rates, and communicate proactively with clients
• Collaborate with operations and support teams while working independently

Qualifications & Skills

• Experienced freight brokers or sales professionals with an existing book of business
• Entrepreneurs and self-starters with a brokerage or fleet operation
• Relationship-driven, proactive, and capable of managing accounts independently
