About the Role
As an Independent Freight Agent, you will build and manage your own book of business within an established authority, focusing on sales and customer relationships. Supported by full back-office services, you can pursue opportunities across freight markets, especially in temperature-controlled transportation.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and manage freight accounts in the Eastern U.S.
- Match shippers' freight with carrier capacity using the company's network.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and carriers.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements.
- Proactively communicate load statuses and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with support teams while working independently.
Requirements
- Experienced freight brokers or sales professionals with an existing book of business.
- Entrepreneurs and self-starters with a brokerage or fleet operation.
