Frankenmuth Michigan Seeking Hospice Companion Volunteers (Non-Paid)

AdvisaCare Hospice serves patients in the Saginaw County area and is seeking compassionate, dependable volunteers to support hospice patients. No prior healthcare experience is required; volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities
• Providing caregiver relief inside private residences
• Pet therapy (licensed dogs) visits with patients
• Playing guitar bedside for hospice patients
• Bereavement volunteer support calls to families and assisting with grief groups
• Pre‑med student shadowing to learn about gerontology patient care
• Remote grief support

Requirements

• Willingness to submit TB test, drug test, and undergo fingerprinting
• Must be 18 years or older
• Volunteers must not be fulfilling court‑ordered service hours
