About the role

AdvisaCare Hospice is always looking for compassionate and dependable people to be there for our hospice patients. It's time to make a difference in this world. AdvisaCare Hospice serves patients in the Saginaw county areas. No healthcare experience needed. Must be 18+. Volunteers serve near you in your area. Hospice does not accept court ordered service hours.

Responsibilities

• Sitting bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities
• Providing caregiver relief inside private residences
• Pet therapy (already licensed dogs) to visit with patients
• Playing the guitar bedside of hospice patients
• Bereavement volunteer support calls to family & assisting with grief groups
• Pre‑med students who want to learn about gerontology patient care
• Grief support (remote)

Requirements

• Willing to submit TB and drug tests
• Willing to be fingerprinted
