About the role
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment including complete machine overhauls, minor repairs, and component rebuilds.
- Use Anderson's systems to document work orders, track progress, and order parts.
- Disassemble machines, perform repairs, and ensure proper assembly and functionality.
- Document and verify that repairs are complete and the equipment is work-ready.
- Maintain safety protocols and comply with relevant regulations while working independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year technical degree or comparable military training.
- At least 5 years of work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers.
- Ownership of adequate hand tools.
- Valid driver's license, with a CDL preferred.
