Field Service Tech 1
About the role
The Field Service Technician will be assigned a truck and travel daily to customer job sites to repair and maintain equipment. This role requires experienced, responsible technicians who can diagnose and repair equipment working independently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair equipment working independently
- Disassemble machine, order parts, make repairs, assemble machine
- Check machine operation to ensure repairs are complete and confirm problem is fixed and is work ready
- Document work orders, track progress of repairs, and order parts using Anderson's systems
- Maintain focus on safety protocols and regulations at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with a two-year Technical degree or comparable military training
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with others, both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers
- Ownership of adequate hand tools
- Valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred
Qualifications
Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems; Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with other technicians or independently, while out in the field; Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers. Ownership of adequate hand tools. Must have valid Driver’s License, CDL preferred.

Pay
Compensation depends on location, experience/skills, and overtime: $34.00-$45.00 per hour.
