Carolina Caring offers a unique physician role where you can truly make a difference, providing care for patients across the lifespan through a blended practice serving both Adult Hospice and Cardinal Kids Pediatric Palliative Care. As one of North Carolina's most respected nonprofit hospice and palliative care organizations, Carolina Caring is seeking a compassionate Family Medicine or Med-Peds physician to join its award-winning interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and families while providing expert, patient-centered care during some of life's most important moments
- Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, and other dedicated professionals
- Practice medicine in a mission-driven organization recognized for clinical excellence and compassionate care
- Improve quality of life through thoughtful, individualized care
- Work within a collaborative culture that values physician input, teamwork, and exceptional patient experiences
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med-Peds)
- Eligible for an unrestricted North Carolina medical license
- Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certification is preferred but not required; physicians willing to obtain certification within two years of employment are encouraged to apply
- A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients with serious illness and their families
