Responsibilities
- Manages team of HVAC technicians while adhering to customer, safety, and quality standards.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems ranging from residential to commercial equipment.
- Directs, mentors, assigns tasks, and monitors performance to ensure productivity and service standards.
- Plans and manages HVAC projects from initial assessment to completion, including estimating, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and material/equipment procurement.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, customers, and workforce, providing status updates and participating in weekly status meetings.
- Manages preventative maintenance system (CMMS) relative to the HVAC shop.
- Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, process, facility, or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency, or costs.
- Makes moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of job area OR demonstrates innovative influence within a project that impacts multiple departments.
- Solves problems and issues faced through detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation. Problems are difficult and moderately complex, requiring solutions based on prior experience and issue analysis.
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, explaining policies, practices, and procedures of the job area. Justifies and gains cooperation on practices, policies, and procedures as needed.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or 1 year of experience in lieu of 1 year of education.
- Experience: 5+ years of related work experience.
