ERP Specialist
Responsibilities
- Develops technical architecture, frameworks and strategies for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements
- Analyzes and evaluates alternative technology solutions to meet business problems
- Give technical guidance in relation to set-up requirements, configuration and customization of the technical application(s)
- Act as the highest point of in-house escalation for complex user issue problem diagnosis and resolution
- Escalates to and works with vendor technical resources for problems that cannot be resolved in-house
- Identifies the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution
- Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions
- Maintains awareness of industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with company’s direction
- Makes sure the application(s) is configured and used effectively
- Continually Identifies, pursues and implements improvements to the way the application(s) is configured and used
- Acts as a specialist subject matter expert for a technical application
- Specifies data requirements in a datacentric environment
- Defines and configures workshare environments
- Represents the company at external conferences and user forums and stays up-to-date with developments with application(s)
- Advise project teams on the implications of engineering strategies and work processes on the set-up, use and handover of project databases
- Prepares databases for client handover
Requirements
- Minimum ISCED Level 6 (Bachelors) or equivalent technical training in subject relevant to the application(s) supported e.g. drafting or engineering technology
- Certified training or equivalent experience in one or more technical applications
- Several years' experience working in a project execution environment
- Able to assess client and contractual requirements and translate these into a project-ready environment
- Fully conversant with all aspects of application configuration and ongoing project support
