About the role
The ERP Sales Systems Lead will serve as the senior functional authority responsible for designing and evolving enterprise sales and fulfillment capabilities through SAP S/4HANA. This role will lead the architecture and implementation strategy for Order-to-Cash processes, ensuring scalable solutions that support business growth and customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Owning the end-to-end design, architecture, and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA sales and fulfillment processes.
- Providing strategic direction, functional leadership, and hands-on expertise to ensure ERP solutions align with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Leading the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Sales and Distribution (SD) solutions supporting sales, customer fulfillment, and vehicle ordering processes.
- Defining end-to-end solution architecture aligned with enterprise requirements, SAP best practices, and long-term scalability goals.
- Serving as the primary functional counterpart to implementation partners, guiding design decisions and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Own the Order-to-Cash (O2C) architecture strategy, including pricing, customer master data, logistics execution, and fulfillment processes.
- Providing leadership for SAP SD, Vehicle Management System (VMS), and Variant Configuration (VC) initiatives, enhancements, and transformation programs.
- Establishing scalable ERP capabilities supporting direct-to-consumer, dealer, fleet, and aftermarket business models.
- Partnering with Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Developing functional specifications, supporting testing activities, and guiding implementation through go-live and stabilization.
- Promoting clean-core principles and fit-to-standard approaches while balancing business needs with sustainable system design.
- Continuously improving ERP capabilities as business requirements evolve.
Requirements
- Experienced SAP solution architect with a strong background in Order-to-Cash processes, enterprise transformations, and large-scale ERP implementations.
- 10+ years of SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) experience, including multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- 3+ years of SAP S/4HANA solution architecture experience.
- Experience leading SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementations or major transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Variant Configuration, Vehicle Management System (VMS), pricing, customer data, and fulfillment processes.
- Experience supporting automotive, electric vehicle, or discrete manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and integrated business processes.
- Proven ability to define architecture strategies, write functional specifications, and lead user acceptance testing.
- Experience collaborating with implementation partners, business leaders, and IT teams through deployment and stabilization.
- Understanding of SOX requirements for financial systems, ideally within a high-growth or public-company environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes are being built and scaled.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
