About the role

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Southcoast Region Maintenance & Operations in Juneau is seeking an Equipment Operator Journey 1/2 to support the state's infrastructure maintenance efforts.

Responsibilities

• Utilize various types of light and heavy duty equipment to perform maintenance activities in support of the State of Alaska mission.
• Operate light duty equipment to perform maintenance activities.
• Operate heavy duty equipment to perform maintenance activities.
• Shift work may be required.

Requirements

• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Knowledge of vehicle operation and problem-solving skills.
• Eye-hand coordination and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with light and heavy duty equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Knowledge of transportation principles and methods.
• Proficiency in operating various types of light and heavy duty equipment.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay

Equipment Operator Journey 1: $28.54 / hourly - OT Eligible
Equipment Operator Journey 2: $30.40 / hourly - OT Eligible

Schedule

Shift work may be required.
