About the role
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Anchorage International Airport, seeks an Equipment Operator Journey 2 to join our team. This position involves operating various heavy equipment essential for airport construction and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Remove snow from airfield surfaces, parking lots, roadways, and sidewalks.
- Clean equipment and perform emergency concrete and asphalt repairs.
- Remove brush and trees from airport property.
- Conduct security inspections and clear safety areas of vegetation.
- Train for and respond to emergencies.
Requirements
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement.
- Must be eligible for an airport identification badge.
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation and TSA Security Threat Assessment.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- Completion of a commercial driver's license program.
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
