Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery.
- Conduct inspections, safety checks, and repairs on various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain and repair equipment such as loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, and trailers, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Read manuals, schematics, and work orders; document maintenance activities accurately.
- Assist with parts procurement, inventory management, and operate diagnostic and maintenance tools safely.
- Support field operations, working in shop environments, active job sites, or from service trucks.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- At least two years of experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related field.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.
- Welding, fabrication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key duties include performing repairs, preventive maintenance, safety inspections, managing work records, and supporting both shop and field operations.
