About the role
We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians to support maintenance, repair, and operation of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, performing preventive and emergency repairs, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and perform preventive maintenance on various vehicles and equipment
- Conduct safety and DOT inspections
- Operate diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and maintenance software
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and perform parts procurement
- Support field operations from shop or service truck environments
- Inspect equipment, read schematics, and prepare equipment for daily use
- Manage parts inventory and ensure safety compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum two years of experience in diesel repair, equipment, or fleet maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is advantageous
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain tools
