Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians to support maintenance, repair, and operation of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled, preventive, and emergency repairs on fleet vehicles and construction equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, rebuild, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components.
  • Maintain and repair loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, trailers, and other machinery.
  • Conduct safety and DOT inspections, adhering to policies and regulations.
  • Read manuals, schematics, and work orders; maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Assist with parts procurement, inventory management, and operate diagnostic tools and welding equipment.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or heavy machinery repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

$24.00 - $39.00/hour
