Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics and Diesel Technicians responsible for maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing a variety of fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. This role involves conducting scheduled, preventive, and emergency repairs, ensuring equipment safety and efficiency, and supporting field and shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Maintain and repair construction equipment such as loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, and trailers
  • Read manuals, schematics, and work orders; prepare equipment for daily use
  • Manage maintenance records, assist with parts procurement, and operate diagnostic and welding tools
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform additional assigned duties

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of two years in diesel repair, equipment maintenance, or related fields
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Valid driver's license; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferred
  • Welding and fabrication experience advantageous
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain necessary tools
