Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians

Role Overview Seeking skilled Equipment Mechanics & Diesel Technicians to maintain, repair, and operate fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, and pavement preservation machinery. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, performing preventative and emergency repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, HVAC systems, and mechanical components. Work may occur in a shop, on active job sites, or from service trucks supporting field operations. Key Duties Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on fleet and construction equipmentConduct inspections and preventative maintenanceMaintain and repair loaders, rollers, pavers, trucks, trailers, and other machineryInterpret manuals, schematics, and work ordersOperate diagnostic, welding, and maintenance tools safelyMaintain accurate maintenance records and assist with parts procurementEnsure a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform safety and DOT inspections and additional assigned duties Qualifications & Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferredMinimum of two years of experience in diesel repair, equipment or fleet maintenance, or related fieldStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsValid driver’s license with acceptable record; CDL-A and tanker endorsement preferredWelding and fabrication skills are a plusAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain tools
