EMS Dispatcher 2

Full-time, hourly night shift position located at ONE ROBERT WOOD JOHNSON PLACE, NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ 08901.

Pay

$25.83 - $31.81 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls for EMS services.
• Dispatch appropriate units and coordinate response efforts.
• Provide pre-arrival medical instructions to callers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of calls and dispatch activities.
• Communicate effectively with field personnel, healthcare providers, and other agencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current NJ EMT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Prior experience in emergency medical dispatch, public safety communications, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and other relevant software.
