EMS Dispatcher 2

About the role

The EMS Dispatcher 2 is responsible for providing emergency dispatch services to the Mobile Health Department. This includes answering calls, processing requests, and coordinating with other emergency response teams.

Responsibilities

• Answering emergency calls and directing callers to appropriate resources
• Processing dispatch requests and ensuring timely responses from emergency responders
• Communicating effectively with emergency responders and other departments
• Maintaining accurate records and logs of all dispatch activities
• Ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 1 year of experience in emergency dispatch or related field
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emergency medical terminology and protocols
• Experience with dispatch software and call handling systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.20 - $31.20 per hour.
