Emergency Medicine Medical Director
Freestanding Emergency Department staffed 24/7/365 with an annual volume of 32,000 patients, 15 ED beds, and Epic EMR. Admission rate: 3%. Available services include GlideScope, Butterfly ultrasound, Telestroke, CT scan/X-ray, laboratory, ventilator, and BiPAP. Coverage includes 24 hours of physician coverage and 12 hours of APP coverage. Additional resources: TeleStroke, NeuroInterventional, and TelePsych coverage 24/7; full lab, CT, X-ray, ultrasound technician during weekdays; bedside ultrasound; Medtronic pacemaker/defibrillator interrogation unit; helipad. Easy access for patient transfers to adult and children’s hospitals.

Austintown Township is located in Northeastern Ohio, a suburb of Youngstown near the Pennsylvania border, halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the ED in collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital administration.
- Supervise the EM staff per the bylaws, policies, and procedures of the institution.
- Represent the ED in the community and within the hospital medical staff.
- Collaborate with hospital and nursing leadership while supporting and leading physicians and APPs.
- Serve as a leader both within the emergency department and across the organization.
- Influence broad company decisions and facilitate the development of new leaders through shared ownership.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine).
- Prior experience required for consideration.
