Dr. Thomas Tam Visiting Professorship in Asian American Studies (Open Rank: Visiting Full Professor/Associate Professor)

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.
• The ability to teach successfully.
• Demonstrated scholarship or achievement.
• The ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
• Substantial research experience, expertise, and publications on the Asian American experience are required.
• Areas of focus may include civic and political engagement; demographic change; religious and ethnic identities; gender and sexuality; health, illness, and disability; aging and intergenerational relations; entrepreneurship and economic development; diasporic and transnational communities; and others.

Pay

Salary range is $90,000 - $138,000, commensurate with rank, credentials, qualifications and experience. An additional $5,000 is available to reimburse relevant research travel and other research expenses.
