About the role
The School of Information Studies in the College of Applied Social Sciences at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois, invites applications for a visiting faculty position that will begin in August 2023 for at least one academic year with the potential to convert to a full-time tenure track position.
Responsibilities
- Join a diverse, collaborative, and cohesive core faculty committed to the university’s overarching mission to create a just and humane society.
- Teach courses in the School of Information Studies, which includes a range of degree options such as:
- PhD in Information Studies
- Master of Library and Information Science (ALA-accredited)
- Master of Science in Information Management
- Master of Arts in Youth Literature
- Master of Professional Studies
- Sixteen master’s level certificate programs
- Bachelor of Science in Informatics
Requirements
- A Ph.D. in Information Studies or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to teach online and on-campus.

- Experience in higher education and relevant professional experience.
