About the role
The Department of Epidemiology and Population Health in the School of Public Health and Information Sciences at the University of Louisville seeks a tenure-track, open rank faculty position. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field with at least 3 to 5 years of direct experience in epidemiological research. A strong record of peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding as a principal investigator are required for consideration at the Associate or Full Professor level. Specialization in environmental epidemiology with research relevant to climate change is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a nationally recognized portfolio of research
- Teach and mentor students in epidemiology and related fields
- Contribute to the expansion of the teaching mission of the department
- Develop new courses related to specialization
- Participate in research collaborations with other departments and institutions
Requirements
- A doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field
- At least 3 to 5 years of direct experience in epidemiological research
- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications
- Extramural funding as a principal investigator
- Specialization in environmental epidemiology with research relevant to climate change
- Experience in teaching and mentoring
- Research experience on the effects of chemical and radiation exposures, air pollution, the built environment, environmental health inequities, or other relevant specializations
