UCI Global Asias Postdoctoral Scholar in Taiwanese American History
The Global Asias Research Cluster at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position in Taiwanese American History.
About the role
This is a two-year postdoctoral position hosted in the Department of Asian American Studies. The successful candidate will work primarily under the supervision of Professor Christopher Fan. The selected scholar will contribute to original research in post-1965 Taiwanese American community history. We are seeking one candidate with a Ph.D. in History, Cultural Studies, or related field, demonstrated fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, and the ability to read and write at a scholarly level in both languages.

Annual salary is based on posted UC Postdoctoral Scholar salary scales and is determined by experience level. See UC Postdoctoral Scholar Scale.

UCI Postdoctoral Scholars are covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Regents of the University of California and the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW).
