About the role
The Director of Realization is responsible for ensuring high quality and timely delivery of integrated systems projects. This individual supports sales efforts to secure competitive pricing and maintains as-sold margins on customer projects. They also ensure all projects comply with schedules, budgets, quality requirements, and commercial agreements with customers.
Responsibilities
- Uphold and promote TGW’s values and ensure employees act according to these values.
- Directly manage the Installation, Project Management, and Project Engineering departments, including hiring and firing of department managers, leadership development, annual performance development plans (PDPs), organizational structure, and department budgets.
- Define growth criteria with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and execute the plan to achieve planned headcount, quality, and organizational structure.
- Maintain oversight of customer projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations and TGW methodology.
- Plan resources for current and future projects, budget for necessary personnel, train staff, and deliver assigned projects.
- Initiate and support the hiring process for new employees, conducting interviews and selecting candidates, and contracting external partners during peak workloads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in leadership, and 3 to 5 years in project management, preferably in the material-handling industry.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, prioritizing and guiding investments in people and systems.
- Strong financial understanding to make informed decisions based on the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement.
- Proven success in leading multi-disciplinary teams across project delivery, installation, and service.
- Data-driven approach to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improve operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience must include at least 10 years in leadership roles and 3 to 5 years in project management, preferably in the material-handling industry.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, prioritizing and guiding investments in people and systems.
- Must possess strong financial understanding to make informed decisions based on the P&L statement.
- Must have proven success in leading multi-disciplinary teams across project delivery, installation, and service.
- Must have a data-driven approach to monitor KPIs and improve operational excellence.
