Director of Human Resources

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, guide, and support the Human Resources team, including the Compliance & Benefits Manager and Talent Acquisition Supervisor
• Drive accountability, engagement, and company culture across the organization
• Align HR strategy with business goals and operational priorities
• Oversee compliance, employee relations, and benefits administration
• Partner with leadership to enhance employee experience and organizational performance
• Take a genuine interest in employee experience and engagement, using strong communication and relationship-building skills to build trust across departments
• Support recruiting strategies, evaluate complex background checks, and ensure hiring practices align with company standards and values
• Partner with the Business Manager to support payroll and billing
• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, workers’ compensation claims, benefits administration, including ACA and 401(k), and internal HR policies
• Provide timely, clear, and actionable HR updates to leadership and staff

Requirements

• 3+ years of HR leadership experience
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with a bias toward action and results
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• SHRM certification required
• Experience with HRIS systems and background with payroll processing preferred
