Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with Blue Sage Services’ growth objectives and operational needs
  • Partner with executive leadership to support organizational structure, workforce planning, and long-term talent strategy
  • Lead and mentor HR and recruiting team members, ensuring accountability and performance
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and retention
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Promote a positive, high-performance culture aligned with Blue Sage Services core values
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, communication strategies, and cultural development efforts
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee HR-related policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to support compliance across field and office personnel
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee compensation structures, benefits programs, and employee incentive plans
  • Ensure competitive and compliant pay practices across all roles
  • Lead performance management processes, including evaluations, growth plans, and personnel actions
  • Support career pathing and employee development initiatives
  • Oversee HR systems including onboarding, employee records, and performance tracking platforms (e.g., Paycom)
  • Ensure efficient onboarding processes and alignment between HR and recruiting functions
  • Maintain accurate employee data and reporting metrics
  • Continuously improve HR processes for scalability and efficiency
  • Develop and implement training programs that support leadership development, field training, and compliance
  • Support initiatives such as leadership training, mentorship programs, and workforce development
  • Identify skill gaps and create development pathways across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience managing HR functions in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in construction, heavy civil, or similar field-based industries
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
  • Experience with HRIS and recruiting platforms (e.g., Paycom or similar systems)
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations
