This position has responsibility for multiple hair color franchises and is the key business driver. Responsibilities include franchise strategy development, new product concepts and launches, and promotional and advertising development and execution. This role manages large-scale, total brand projects and a direct report, playing a key leadership role in developing and coaching future marketing leaders.
Responsibilities
- Strategy Planning:
- Drive and analyze research category trends and insights to develop long-term strategy
- Manage short-term and long-term strategy and planning
- Oversee and guide plans development and create vision for businesses
- Contribute to division strategy and plans
- New Product Launches:
- Own and supervise the entire process across multiple launches
- Oversee selling projects to management, including international and panier sales
- Present to key accounts and influence sales strategies
- Financial / Forecasting:
- Full P&L accountability for franchise business
- Assist with financial implications of forecasts (e.g., E10 and full-year numbers)
- Work on accuracy of budgets and roll up with finance
- Promotions/Advertising/Media:
- Work intimately with agency partners to create breakthrough consumer communications across all touchpoints, from traditional media to digital data-driven activations
- Team and Meeting Management:
- Ensure team development and positive morale
- Foster collaboration within the team and with core partners (DMI, commercial, finance, etc.)
- Recruit and retain employees
- Influence team structure and recommend organizational changes
- Effectively manage, train, and develop direct reports and their teams
- Represent the Cosmetics (Lip & Trend) category in core meetings
Requirements
- 8+ years of business-related experience focused on quantitative data management and project management skills
- Marketing-related experience is highly desired but not required
- Consumer packaged goods or beauty industry experience is highly desired
- Experience working within cosmetics is preferred
- Experience managing direct reports is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Pay
Salary Range: $144,800 - $210,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
