About the role
Oversee chronic hemodialysis care, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily guidance, support, and performance feedback to patient care staff.
- Participate in staffing, hiring, disciplinary actions, and staff training.
- Ensure adherence to facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Supervise patient care activities, assess patient needs, and coordinate treatment plans.
- Respond to emergencies, monitor patient conditions, and administer medications as ordered.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis, diet, and medications.
- Oversee equipment safety, perform routine testing, and participate in technical training.
- Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and special projects.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the relevant state.
- Minimum of 9 months nursing experience and 3 months in dialysis; supervisory experience preferred.
- Completion of hemodialysis theory and practice training.
Skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage staff, coordinate patient care, and adhere to safety standards.
Physical & Work Environment
Involves interacting with patients, staff, and physicians in a healthcare setting, with potential exposure to infectious materials and moderate noise levels. May require travel between facilities.
