About the role

Oversee chronic hemodialysis care, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily guidance, support, and performance feedback to patient care staff.
  • Participate in staffing, hiring, disciplinary actions, and staff training.
  • Ensure adherence to facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supervise patient care activities, assess patient needs, and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Respond to emergencies, monitor patient conditions, and administer medications as ordered.
  • Educate patients and families on dialysis, diet, and medications.
  • Oversee equipment safety, perform routine testing, and participate in technical training.
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and special projects.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the relevant state.
  • Minimum of 9 months nursing experience and 3 months in dialysis; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Completion of hemodialysis theory and practice training.

Skills

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage staff, coordinate patient care, and adhere to safety standards.

Physical & Work Environment

Involves interacting with patients, staff, and physicians in a healthcare setting, with potential exposure to infectious materials and moderate noise levels. May require travel between facilities.
