About the Role
Oversee chronic hemodialysis care and supervise direct patient care staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily guidance, support, and supervision to staff, including performance feedback and participation in staffing and disciplinary decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and safety standards, maintaining a safe and effective working environment.
- Participate in patient care planning, monitor patient conditions, and respond to emergencies, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Train and orient staff, supervise technical equipment use, and ensure adherence to dialysis procedures.
- Educate patients and families about dialysis, treatment, and related health topics.
- Maintain documentation, oversee shift operations, and assist in hiring and quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with current licensure.
- At least 9 months of nursing experience, including 3 months in dialysis; supervisory experience preferred.
- Completion of hemodialysis training.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a healthcare environment.
Additional Information
- Ability to lead, supervise staff, and coordinate patient care, with familiarity in equipment use and safety protocols.
- Physical demands include interaction with patients and staff, with potential exposure to infectious materials.
- Travel between facilities may be required.
