Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: Under the direction of Radiology leadership, coordinates the daily operations of the MRI department and its affiliates. As a working supervisor, will be responsible for complying with the Supervisor Expectations and maintaining expert technical skills. Collaborates with Radiology leadership to ensure maintained compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and protocols. Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Rose Medical Center. Is able to provide care to assigned patients and assures a safe care environment. Manages supplies/inventory, productivity, and key operations to achieve budgetary targets. Collaborates in the decision-making structure and processes with the Radiology leadership team and assists in projects, financial, and growth planning. Supervises and trains employees, provides employee education, maintains employee competency-based performance, performs annual reviews, maintains current employee files, and monitors attendance/staffing of the department. Provides and maintains age specific exam competencies and protocols for patients with various clinical conditions and age ranges. Assists in the implementation and documentation of an effective and continuous program to measure, assess, and improve performance outcomes for both patient and physician satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Position Requirements:

  • Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required. Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
  • Experience: 5 years of MRI experience preferred, 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be familiar with all MRI exams/procedures with a high degree of critical thinking skills necessary for operation of equipment and patient care. Must be capable of applying technical skills to all age patients.
