Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor
Job Summary and Qualifications
Ability to perform and supervise all imaging procedures at technical level consistent with the goals of the department. To assume the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. To assure the highest degree of quality performance and patient care is delivered to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations of these patients.
What you will do in this role
- Demonstrates clinical excellence in area(s) supervised.
- Provides radiation protection to patients, staff and self-according to prescribed safety standards.
- Completes scheduling for personnel supervised or as assigned.
- Coincide workflow in areas managed to provide timely and professional performance of procedures.
- Able to recognize a problem and develop/implement a course of action.
- Approach co-workers diplomatically and disseminate information to them.
- Assumes charge position as required in the absence of manager /director.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining par levels as assigned.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, visitors, physicians and the public.
- Ability to interact with managers and supervisors of hospital departments to promote positive relationships.
- Participates in performance improvement activities for the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- Effectively expresses ideas verbally/written, uses positive methods of speaking.
- Is responsible for getting work done through formal or informal director of others.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment to management.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support(ARRT-R)
- Radiography(RT)
- Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer(CT)
- Computed Tomography
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
- Three years of clinical experience required
- Occasional/ Intermittent Required
