About the role
The Radiology Supervisor at Methodist Hospital is responsible for maintaining a high standard of work in the imaging section(s), supervising, instructing, and assigning tasks to staff, ensuring patient care, and managing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned personnel and effectively staff the imaging section(s).
- Evaluate performance and recommend personnel actions.
- Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Work with Section Manager or designee on staffing, morale, and work methods; initiate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Maintain inventory and equipment service records.
- Work with vendors to ensure optimal uptime of equipment in section(s).
- Schedule preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance without disrupting patient care.
- Organize work to minimize room turnaround time and ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow safety policies and procedures, identify potential issues, and implement measures to prevent complications.
- Embrace, employ, and execute the principles of Methodist Excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Either/or Certificate of Training from an accredited Radiology Technology Program or Associates of Science or above from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Experience: Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting, and supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- License, Certificates, or Registrations: Medical Radiologic License from Texas Medical Board, ARRT, and BLS.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Associates of Science or above from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Experience: Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting, and supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Licenses, Certificates, or Registrations: Medical Radiologic License from Texas Medical Board, ARRT, and BLS.
- Training and Competencies: Completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility, and department/unit.
- Other Job-Related Characteristics: Embraces, employs, and executes the principles of Methodist Excellence.
