About the role

This position supports the maintenance and enhancement of the employer reporting systems and defines and tests business requirements for system changes needed for ongoing operations. It also assists with change initiatives related to wage & contribution reporting, and active member account maintenance. Additionally, this position works with the Application Support Team to define and deliver system changes and serves as the primary trainer for internal technician staff as well as external customers. This position is a conduit for continuous improvement for the Employer Reporting process.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the maintenance and enhancement of the employer reporting systems
  • Defines and tests business requirements for system changes needed for ongoing operations
  • Affixes to change initiatives related to wage & contribution reporting
  • Affixes to change initiatives related to active member account maintenance
  • Works with the Application Support Team to define and deliver system changes
  • Serves as the primary trainer for internal technician staff as well as external customers
  • Serves as a conduit for continuous improvement for the Employer Reporting process

Requirements

The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Qualifications

  • Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Experience:
    • Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount is required.
    • Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience.
    • Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
