About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and cooking demonstrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the culinary team in delivering high-quality customer service and cooking demonstrations
  • Plan and execute cooking classes and demonstrations
  • Train and mentor culinary staff to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall shopping experience

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail or hospitality setting
  • Proven ability to manage a team and provide training
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

  • Experience with food preparation and presentation
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
