About the role
The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for overseeing the culinary team to ensure exceptional customer service and product knowledge. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for food.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the culinary team to provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Train and develop culinary staff in product knowledge and service skills
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Manage inventory and ordering processes to support smooth operations
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall store performance
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, food service, or related field preferred
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
