About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and preparing high-quality food items. This position requires a strong background in culinary arts and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the culinary team in executing daily food preparation tasks
  • Ensure all food items meet quality standards and are prepared safely
  • Train and mentor new team members in culinary techniques and customer service
  • Collaborate with store management to develop and implement new menu items
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient use of resources

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional kitchen experience
  • Experience leading a team of culinary staff
  • Valid Food Handlers Permit

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
