About the role
The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and expertise in product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead the culinary team to ensure high standards of customer service and product knowledge are maintained.
- Train and develop culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage inventory and ensure stock levels are adequate for customer needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide cohesive shopping experiences for customers.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the culinary team on new products and trends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail environment.
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Food Handlers Card.
