About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and expertise in product knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the culinary team to ensure high standards of customer service and product knowledge are maintained.
  • Train and develop culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and ensure stock levels are adequate for customer needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide cohesive shopping experiences for customers.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for the culinary team on new products and trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail environment.
  • Proven ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card.
