About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and cooking demonstrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the culinary team in delivering high-quality customer service and engaging cooking demonstrations.
  • Plan and execute weekly cooking demonstrations that showcase products and engage customers.
  • Train and mentor culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support store operations and events.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a retail environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
