About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and cooking demonstrations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the culinary team to ensure high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Conduct cooking demonstrations and tastings to engage customers and promote products.
  • Train and develop culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall store operations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
