About the role
The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and cooking demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the culinary team to ensure high standards of customer service and food quality.
- Conduct cooking demonstrations and tastings to engage customers and promote products.
- Train and develop culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Manage inventory and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall store operations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
