About the role
The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and cooking demonstrations. This position requires a strong background in food preparation and presentation, as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the culinary team in providing high-quality customer service and cooking demonstrations
- Prepare and present dishes to customers during cooking demonstrations
- Train and mentor new employees in food safety and cooking techniques
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and supplies are clean and in good working order
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a food service or culinary environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handlers Card
Skills
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
