About the role

The Culinary Lead at Sur La Table is responsible for leading the culinary team in providing exceptional customer service and cooking demonstrations. This position requires a strong background in food preparation and presentation, as well as excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the culinary team in providing high-quality customer service and cooking demonstrations
  • Prepare and present dishes to customers during cooking demonstrations
  • Train and mentor new employees in food safety and cooking techniques
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and supplies are clean and in good working order
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a food service or culinary environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Food Handlers Card

Skills

  • Proficient in using kitchen equipment and tools
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
